At a glance

Orders / Day plots your daily order volume across every Fruugo country marketplace over the window. It is the quickest read on demand rhythm and the earliest signal of a spike or a slump. For a cross-border merchant, this Fulfilment card is the line you watch for capacity planning, since a sudden surge across 40-plus markets can swamp dispatch before any single account-health metric reacts.

Calculation

The card counts orders placed on each calendar day across all your active Fruugo country marketplaces and plots them as a daily line over the rolling window. Orders are attributed to the day they were placed, so the trend reflects demand timing rather than dispatch or settlement timing.

Worked example

A representative reading of Orders / Day for a typical merchant on Fruugo. Suppose a merchant normally sees 40 to 55 orders a day, then the line jumps to 120 for three consecutive days (illustrative figures). That is a demand event, not noise. Vortex Mind investigates and finds the surge concentrated in two countries on a single product range, lining up with a seasonal sale window in those locales. Ask Viq answers “what drove the order spike this week” by naming the countries and products, so the merchant can pull stock forward and add dispatch capacity before the spike turns into a Pending Shipment backlog.

Reconciling against Fruugo Merchant Portal

Where to look in Fruugo’s own dashboard: In the Fruugo Merchant Portal, open the orders or sales reporting area and view the daily order count for the same date range. The portal’s day-by-day order list is the authoritative source for this trend. Why the Vortex IQ value may legitimately differ: Cross-connector reconciliation: Read this with fru_pending_ship and fru_on_time_ship_rate so a demand spike does not quietly become an SLA miss, and let Vortex Mind attribute the movement to specific countries or products.

Known limitations / merchant FAQs

Q: How often does this number update? The trend extends as new orders arrive, with the most recent day filling in through the trading day, so today’s point keeps rising until the day closes. Q: Why does the Fruugo Merchant Portal show different daily totals? The usual culprits are time-zone day boundaries and which order event the day is dated by - placement versus paid or confirmed - plus cancellations that remove an order from a day after the fact. Align time zone and dating basis before comparing. Q: How does this relate to the Orders card and Pending Shipment? fru_order_count gives the window total while this card shows its daily shape, and fru_pending_ship tells you whether a rising line is outrunning your dispatch capacity. Q: Can I set an alert on this card? It ships without a default alert, but the threshold is configurable. A common setup is alerting when a day exceeds a multiple of the recent average, giving early warning of a demand surge that will strain fulfilment.
