Calculation

Vortex IQ groups each completed order in the trailing 30 days by the buyer’s country and counts orders per country. The totals are mapped onto a choropleth where shading intensity reflects relative order volume. For most Mercari sellers a single domestic market dominates, so the map reads as a strong concentration with little elsewhere. Orders without a resolvable country are grouped separately rather than discarded.
